March 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Houston, TX – Today Fresh Air Club (http://www.freshairclub.com) Chief Executive Officer Joni Bock announced new pricing to go into effect later this week as part of a coordinated effort with suppliers and shipping partner, FedEx, to reduce the overall costs to Members.

“Our goal was to make our service less expensive than customers having to go to a big box retailer or hardware store, and at the same time provide the convenience of home delivery. We even have made our Fed Ex shipping free on all orders”, cited Joni Bock, Fresh Air Club’s CEO. “We are excited that in these current economic conditions, we are still finding ways to save our Members money - because I believe that fresh air at home is paramount to the health and well-being of Americans. It is such simple, preventative step we can all take to ease health-care costs in this country and reduce our energy consumption as well.”

The pricing change will be retro-active to all current Members’ plans and will be automatically be credited on the next auto-shipment of replacement air filters. Current Members will be notified by email of the price reduction. The new pricing will be updated on the FreshAirClub.com website for all of the service plans offered.

“In just a year and a half, we have revolutionized our own business model – and there are no signs of us slowing down. Thanks to rapid consumer adoption to this new scheduled model of receiving replacement air filters for the home via “to your door” delivery every 30, 60 or 90 days and improved efficiencies in operations, the Fresh Air Club is reducing its price per air filter by at least 10%. Members on the Enhanced 60 and the Elevated 30 plans, and those with multiple filters in their homes, will see even greater discounts as the new pricing is based on frequency of delivery, number of filters in the home, and the introduction of free nationwide shipping per order. In addition, there will be a lower Fed Ex flat rate that will apply to the optional recycling service for dirty filters when elected by the member. This new shipping model, which is a product of the FedEx partnership, will drastically reduce the costs to all Members.

“This new pricing has made our service more available to the elderly on fixed incomes and those in economically depressed areas where people may not be thinking about their indoor air quality and its impact on their health”, said Ms. Bock. “Our intention was for price not to ever be a barrier, and for the overall cost to be cheaper than the time, gas, and costs of buying your air filters at a store.
