Larry’s Beans Helps Power the Carolina Rollergirls for 2010 Season

Coffee Roaster Supports Flat- Track Derby Team for 4th year

March 30, 2010 - PRLog -- (Raleigh, NC) – If you notice a little extra “oomph!” from the Carolina Rollergirls this season, Larry’s Beans could be responsible. The Raleigh-based organic coffee roaster is once again sponsoring the Carolina Rollergirls of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA).  This is the fourth year that Larry’s Beans has sponsored Raleigh’s own women’s roller derby team with a self-proclaimed “rock’n’roll attitude.”

“I have loved having the opportunity to meet these rockin’, independent women and watch them grow as a team,” said Larry Larson, founder of Larry’s Beans.  “If you go to a match, the level of hard work the Rollergirls put into their sport is obvious. Not only that, but they are incredibly fun to watch and their indy spirit is contagious.  I can’t think of a better organization for Larry’s Beans to support.”

Larry’s Beans has supported the Carolina Rollergirls since 2007.

“I am delighted to have Larry’s Beans’ support, mostly because I am a coffee addict and his products are simply the best,” says Deviled Legs, aka Angie, a member of the Carolina Rollergirls.  “Also, I feel the locally recognized grass roots approach of Larry’s Beans’ business compliments the mission of our league, which is to run our non-profit for the skaters, by the skaters.  Larry’s Beans has been a huge supporter of the Carolina Rollergirls and is one of those sponsors we can really count on.”

The Carolina Rollergirls’ next local match will be held April 18 in the Dorton Arena on the North Carolina State Fairgrounds.  The matches will feature the Carolina Bootleggers vs. Dominion B-Team and the Carolina All-Stars vs. Montreal Roller Derby.
