Panama: It´s Happening Now

March 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Last week, the Council of the Americas, in conjunction with the World Bank and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Panama, organized the conference "Panama: It's happening now", as part of a series of lectures on Latin American cities , that have been organized in major capitals of the region.

The meeting had as keynote speakers the President of the Republic of Panama, Ricardo Martinelli, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Roberto Henriquez, the Minister of Finance, Alberto Vallarino and the Director of the Tourism Authority of Panama, Salomon Shamah, among other distinguished personalities from the world of finance and business, which filled the Gran Canal Room of the Marriott Hotel in this capital city.

Among the guests were the General Manager of London & Regional Panama, Henry Kardonski and the Administrator of Panama Pacific Special Economic Area, Miguel A. Clare, who listened carefully to the speakers and participated in all activities inherent to this cycle of conferences, which began last year in Buenos Aires, Argentina and shall culminate in Trinidad Tobago.
