March 28, 2010 - PRLog -- Metta in Motion Thai Yoga Massage School has been in the making for ten years and has already enjoyed two years of graduating students under its name. Mia, your instructor, has over twenty years of teaching experience, from teaching at an Acupuncture school and a Massage school in Chicago, to teaching for Lotus Palm in Montreal. Now, living in Victoria she continues to share the Metta from this beautiful location with her unique and individualized teaching methods.

Mia’s love for Thai Yoga Massage began after a friend who travelled to Northern India, where Thai Yoga Massage originates from, shared some of the Thai Massage that she learned with Mia. Realizing that there was something better than the Shiatsu that Mia had been practicing, she felt drawn to learn this beautiful ancient healing form. She went to Thailand and learned Thai Yoga Massage at the Sun Shine Network and with Pichest Boonthumme. After three months she returned back to Chicago and felt that there was still so much more to learn. She found two woman teaching Thai Yoga Massage at their school in Chicago, Open Secrets, and Mia continued to study with them for the next three years. After a few years of travelling and teaching Thai Massage Mia moved to Montreal and began to learn the Lotus Palm method, and eventually become a teacher for them. At that point Metta in Motion was a seed planted in the heart and mind of Mia. She knew that one could not ever know enough about Thai Massage and promised her self that she would continue to learn and one day open her own school.

Ever a proponent for continued education, Mia went to Ojai California last year and learned with Saul David Raye as well as with Sacred Asia in Whistler.

In creating Metta in Motion, Mia has combined the best of what she learned and has incorporated it into the present form and flow of the Metta in Motion incarnation.

Since Metta means loving kindenss it is a large part of Thai Yoga Massage, as well as meditation, it just made sense to call the school Metta in Motion. Metta in Motion embodies the spirit and soul of Thai Massage.

In January of 2008 the doors of Metta in Motion were opened and holds regular Thai Massage Courses at the prestigious Queenswood Centre and smaller Thai Massage Sessions in Mia's private studio. Classes are always in demand and it is highly recommended you secure your space well in advance.

Mia makes the classes fun and easy to learn, an experience not to be missed. Whether you are learning to work on family and friends, learning a new way to work with your clients or just to experience what you have been hearing so much about, Metta in Motion is your place for learning the ancient healing art of Thai Yoga Massage.

Metta in Motion has Thai massage courses ranging from Certification Classes, Advanced Classes, Barefoot Thai Massage, Thai on the Table and Pre-Natal Classes. In addition we have shorter Classes, Four Hour Taster, Two Day Introduction, and Couples Thai Massage. All the classes are intimate and small with lots of personalized attention. Metta, meaning Loving Kindness is a large part of the class, giving Loving kindness to our clients, loving kindness to our classmates and especially loving kindness to ourselves. With small classes Mia is able to teach the Metta in Motion method clearly, calmly, concisely, with lots of individual attention, and Metta to each student equally.
