Physician Office Managers Association of America Annouces Website for The Central FL Chapter

March 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Physician Office Managers Association of America, a national professional association for physician practice managers, administrators, and billing managers has announced a new website for The Central Florida Chapter. The chapter is growing at a tremendous rate where the national office of POMAA felt there was a need to accommodate their members by having them register for meetings on their own website. The website will allow members to register for meetings, access the website's members only area as well as gain updated information on their chapter. Members are not charged any additional fees to access the website and will have access to previous meeting materials as well as have access to POMAA's national website that has many resources for physician practice managers.

Non-members of POMAA may register for meetings using The Central Florida Chapter of POMAA's website as well, however they will not be able to access the members only area for valuable resources. Meetings for non-members cost $15.00 and meetings are usually held on a monthly basis.

The Central Florida Chapter of POMAA provides lunch and door prizes for all of their meetings. They have had nationally known speakers such as: Frank Cohen, MPA, Steve Verno, and attorneys in their local area such as Janice Merrill. The topics presented at their local chapter include, Coding issues, Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, Liability Issues, Customer Service, and many more. Members of POMAA will be emailed announcements of their local meetings to make it easier for them to RSVP. The national office of POMAA felt this was necessary to keep the members in Orlando and the surrounding area up-to-date on upcoming meetings and to stay more organized.

The chapter's President, Jennifer Wilkes, CPM has done a wonderful job in promoting POMAA in and around the Orlando area. The national office of POMAA cannot commend her enough on the great job she has done. POMAA's Executive Director, Desiree R. Baylin, CMOM, CPM-HRS feels that Jennifer is a great asset to their association both on a local level in the Orlando, FL area and on a national level. Jennifer, in addition to being The Central Florida Chapter of POMAA's President is also their National Association Director. Ms. Wilkes is POMAA's chapter coordinator and sponsor/exhibitor coordinator for their national conferences. "We are very appreciative of Jennifer," stated Ms. Baylin. She has done so much for POMAA in so many ways that we are thankful. "Jennifer puts her heart and soul into anything she tackles and has a lot of passion for POMAA," stated Ms. Baylin, especially this time of year when she must coordinate meetings and work on sponsors/exhibitors for POMAA's 2010 National Annual Conference being held in New Orleans, LA.
