Follow on Google News | Ex-Devon Poet reads with CornwallPoets DAVID WOOLLEY and JACKIE CORNWALL read their latest work at the new Poetry on Tap reading series on Sunday, 18 April, 2pm, at the Promised Land, Windsor Place.
By: Poetry on Tap DAVID WOOLLEY is the author of 'Pursued by a Bear' (Headland), his fourth collection of poetry, out in May. Originally from Devon, he is both a Member and Board Member of Academi, and is on the Board of New Welsh Review. JACKIE CORNWALL is a poet and playwright. With plays produced by the Everyman Theatre, in 1997 she was awarded the Chair for Poetry at the Welsh National Eisteddfod. The event includes a popular open mic section, with prizes donated by Bonmot, Waterloo Gardens Teahouse and Classical Education Forum. Entry £4 or £2 for open mic readers. # # # Poetry on Tap is Cardiff’s newest monthly poetry and spoken word series is co-curated by Ivy Alvarez and Mab Jones, providing a showcase for electric experimentation & lively risk-taking through poetry.
