Gonzalez, of Baker & McKenzie LLP to speak on legal issues of foreign trade, sales and transactions; also available via webinar.
By: International Trade Center, Dallas-SBDC Mr. Gonzalez’s practice focuses on foreign trade and investment transactions, including distributorships, franchising, licensing, sales contracts, joint ventures, warehousing arrangements, and other cross-border transactions, particularly in the Latin American region, involving a wide range of complex legal issues. The full Export Certificate Program seminar series covers the steps in the export process with a strong emphasis on compliance. The Export Certificate Program welcomes other leading industry experts on related topics including: identifying public resources available to assist in country research and financing; learning the government agencies role in export procedures; mandatory compliance requirements regarding such topics as licensing and record keeping requirements and penalties; becoming familiar with non U.S. regulations and compulsory marks; the basics of international payment procedures; and how to work with your customs broker and freight forwarder to navigate the logistics and documentation maze.
