Mrs. District of Columbia America To Crown Her Successor on May 16, 2010!

March 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Mrs. District of Columbia America Organization invites you to join them on Sunday May 16, 2010 as Deanna McCray James, Mrs. DC 2009, crowns her successor.  The new winner will compete with 50 other women later this summer for the title of Mrs. America.  

Celebrating its' 35th year, the Mrs. America Organization is the only pageant to recognize the one person who contributes so much to modern day life... America's married woman.   It focuses the attention of the nation and the world on the versatility of the contemporary American married woman.  Each of the 51 Mrs. America candidates earns the right to participate in the national event by winning her statewide competition.  These state pageants are under the direction of Mrs.  America State Directors, a network of respected and talented community and business leaders reflecting one of the finest and prestigious pageant systems in the world. District of Columbia Co-Directors, Kyle Ean Haggerty and Kelly Ann Clay, bring over 30 years of combined pageant experience to the organization.  

“The political and philanthropic environment in Washington, DC continuously brings wonderful examples of loving, giving, and educated wives and mothers to the forefront of our community.” says Kelly Ann Clay, Mrs. District of Columbia America Co-Director.  “We are excited to provide one more platform to showcase the fabulous married women in the District.”

Mrs. District of Columbia America 2010 will be held on May 16, 2010 at the Ibiza located at 1222 First Street Northeast, Washington, DC. Local titleholders will compete to win a prize package valued at over $10,000 including an all expense paid trip to the national Mrs. America Pageant, national competition wardrobe, fitness training, cosmetics, pageant coaching, jewelry, luggage set, and much more! Applicants must be at least 18 years old (no age limit), married at the time of competition and be a resident or employed in the District of Columbia. No performing talent required.

“No previous pageant or modeling experience is necessary, all you need is confidence and a great smile and we will help you do the rest!” says Kyle Ean Haggerty, Mrs. District of Columbia America Co-Director.
