Tokunbo Ifaturoti Bags an Award for her Community Work

March 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Tokunbo Ifaturoti has over the years broken down the barrier of children and youth ceasing to care or look out for one another because they do not come from the same country or continent. She has tirelessly worked very hard in making sure various cultures are identified and treated with respect. The children and youth she has worked with have come to appreciate good citizenship by being exposed to cultures of Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Ghana, Senegal, Barbados, Jamaica, Italy, Japan, United kingdom to mention a few.

To date, she has worked with various organisations and embassies and this year she plans to take some children and youth abroad as a cultural exchange programme whereby each person can “give back” something to the community by helping to paint a classroom, going to the farm to help harvest agricultural produce, or just encourage the less fortunate to believe in themselves! In this way the chain of human kindness will not be broken as hope and high self esteem will replace rejection and self pity.

Tokunbo Ifaturoti’s passion and love for the advancement of “giving back” to the community stems from the old adage that goes....”it takes a whole community to raise a child” therefore together with her dedicated team and family she intends to push the boundaries and aspires to become a goodwill ambassador in the near future!...
