| Save the Date -Easter Seals Annual Walk With Me to Raise Funds and AwarenessA Family Event for All Fitness Levels Benefiting Easter Seals
Ferrous the Iron Pigs mascot will provide entertainment and photo opportunities. Students from the Lehigh Carbon Community College Early Education Program will be on hand to help out with children’s games and crafts. Walk alongside the Easter Seals Honorary Ambassadors and learn from the families more about the scope of work Easter Seals provides in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities. There’s still time to register to walk or to support a local walking team with a donation. Please go online to www.walkwithme.org/ This year’s Resource Fair will feature about 25 community-minded businesses that provide information and services including Lehigh and Northampton County Early Intervention, Lehigh Valley Child Care, Tri State Advocacy Project, Bayada Nurses, Lear Educational Center, Lehigh Valley Family magazine, Usborne Books & More, TD Bank, State Senator Pat Browne, Hope Lock Kennels, Capital Blue Cross, Miracle League, the Arc of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, Epilepsy Foundation of Eastern PA, and others. Joining the Resource Fair will be Easter Seals Honorary Ambassadors David, Giovanna, and Ricardo, along with their families. Each family will have a story to share about their Easter Seals experience offering help, hope and answers to other families. National sponsors include CVS Caremark, Century 21, Amway Global and Mass Mutual Financial Group. Prior to the walk, there will be a graduation ceremony for seven children who are moving on from the Easter Seals pre-school to kindergarten. These children have worked closely with Easter Seals teachers and therapists to grow, develop and reach the milestone of moving on to kindergarten. Media is invited to attend.
