Innovating Executive Education in Six Sigma

Gone are the days, when he/she was just responsible to produce the desired outputs.  So process orientation and the ability to analyze problems and ensure they don’t recur is a quality expected by every employer. Canopus has launched its new six sigma green belt training and certification program today.
After surveying over 100 executives across industries, who have undergone Six Sigma Education, Canopus has decided to offer a 4 day training module that overcomes the key concerns expressed in the survey.  key observations of the survey include schedule of training, lack of post- training guidance, expensive licensed software used in training that individuals cannot afford, lack of practical outlook to the theoretical concepts and inability to relate to the industry they come from.
Canopus module will be spread around weekend. In addition we provide free post-training mentoring for participants who execute projects, training will include open-source software and a choice of industry specific cases for manufacturing, BSFI and Telecom, said the Principal and founder of Canopus, Mr. Nilakanta Srinivasan
Being the first of its kind in India, about 500 executives from leading companies in manufacturing, hospitality, IT, BPO, banking and financial services are expected to sign up for the programme this year.
The training will be launched in all metros, starting with Chennai between 9th to 12th April this year.
Last year, Canopus launched an expert-led executive one-to-one coaching to CXOs, leaders & senior managers in the process management.
Six sigma education should enable the employee to link the concepts back at work and hence the success of any such training is measure by business results than mere participant feedback, Mr. Srinivasan said.
