Transworld Media Announces Promotion Of Josh Hunter To Editor-In-Chief Of Transworld Business
TransWorld Media is proud to announce the promotion of Josh Hunter to editor-in-chief of TransWorld Business.

Prior to assuming this role, Hunter acted as the surf editor of TransWorld Business for the past four years and proved himself a vital contributor to the action-sports industry’s leading trade publication. In his new position, Hunter will oversee the editorial direction and overall content for both the print and digital versions, and is also responsible for assisting in the development of strategic editorial planning to retain and grow readership. Hunter will continue to report to TransWorld’s Editorial Director Rob Campbell.
“This promotion is an incredible honor,” said Hunter. “Over the past four years I’ve had the privilege of working closely with some of the most talented people in action sports, which has enabled me to learn about many different aspects of the endemic market first hand. In doing so I’ve built strong professional relationships and friendships, and have always had the full support of the TransWorld family,” continued Hunter. “I’m excited about carrying on the long legacy of objective, comprehensive coverage that TransWorld Business is known for and will continue to evolve the title to exceed the expectations of our loyal readers.”

Hunter honed his skills as a journalist and developed a solid grasp on the inner-workings of the action sports market during his time at TransWorld Business. As senior surf editor, Hunter played an integral role in creating compelling editorial content both in print and online as well as building strong relationships with key executives and decision makers in the industry.
A native of North Carolina, but now calls Southern California home, Hunter originally learned the ropes of specialty retail at a well-known Surf City Surf Shop under the guidance of mentor and Board Retailers Association (B.R.A.) Founder Roy Turner and shop owner Mike Barden. He also built a solid portfolio of more than 300 published articles as a contributor to Eastern Surf Magazine, Surfing, Surfer and many other titles prior to coming onboard fulltime at TransWorld Business.
