Stationery Industry Veteran Launches Eco-Friendly Fashion Stationery

March 16, 2010 - PRLog -- EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, March 16, 2010 – When seasoned retail stationery buyer Marianne Cook discovered the staggering reality that the average adult uses 745 pounds of paper annually, she was equally astounded and inspired to instigate a dramatic shift in the stationery industry.  
To counteract that statistic, Cook recently launched Green Stationery, Inc, a stationery design and production company, and introduced five lines of stationery products and desk accessories that were designed to bring beauty and color to the work environment while reducing the carbon footprint of the stationery industry. “We are driven by the need females have to feel good about products and services,” says Cook. “These products will fill the void in the marketplace for high-fashion social stationery and desk accessories that are also eco-friendly.”  
Cook worked closely with product designers and local artists to design the new eco-friendly stationery lines, which include the brightly floral Elegant Collection, the modern Asian-themed Plum Blossom Collection, the Verde Collection featuring soft green tree silhouettes, the traditional damask Brighton Collection, and the Le Plume Collection, which features a yellow-on-turquoise feather motif. “All products in these new stationery lines are eco-friendly and do not sacrifice style, elegance or our planet’s resources,” says Cook.
Each line features coordinated invitations, thank you cards, note cards, mouse pad notepads, sticky note blocks, chunky notepads and file folders made from recycled paper and soy ink. All products are developed using renewable energy and create no greenhouse gas emissions during the process.
