Hallowed be thy Braai..

Braai. Pronounced like bye, but with a rasping ‘rrr’ in the middle. Important is the braai.

March 16, 2010 - PRLog -- Braai. Pronounced like bye, but with a rasping ‘rrr’ in the middle. Important is the braai. ‘Why?’ you ask. Because come the greatest showpiece on earth, the 2010 Football World Cup, all of the world will bear witness to South Africa’s gift to mankind... the braai. The braai is more than just meat cooked on the hot, ashen remains of logs, it is a melting pot RSA’s multitude of cultures, languages and flavours. It is something to be shared by all South Africans, transcending the past and it is even celebrated as a national holiday.
Yes, hallowed is the braai in South Africa and lucky is the Englishman who will be privileged enough to savour the smoky meat that is the braai’s bounty. Sadly, not everyone is destined to head to South Africa’s sunny shores to enjoy the spectacle that is the World Cup. Some will have to make do with what England has to offer. Before you want to slip the noose over your head, you should consider the fact that there is a way to experience the unrivalled thrill of a braai right here in England!
If it’s a summer braai in your back garden, a corporate function to impress clients or even your wedding day, look no further than Nyama Catering. Nyama simply means meat in isiXhosa, one of South Africa’s many indigenous languages, but Nyama Catering are the people who will bring the holy braai right to your doorstep.
