March 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Tulsa, OK; With Saint Patrick's Day quickly approaching, Fire Rock Grill and Bar has decided to lay a strong cultural foundation for this once-a-year holiday. In doing this, Chef Fred Auletta has decided to create a special Saint Patrick's Day menu with all the apropriate offerings.  This "Green" menu includes mouth-watering Reuben Bites, Bangers & Mash and Irish Cream Bread Pudding. Fire Rock Grill is inviting Tulsa to celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style and taste with this unique themed menu.  Along with their regular menu, Fire Rock will introduce Three Irish entrees, two appetizers, specialty drinks/beer specials and a luscious mouthwatering dessert prepared daily starting the day before Saint Patrick's Day and ending Saint Patrick's Day night.

Saint Patrick's Day is always celebrated on March 17, marking a religious feast day and the anniversary of St. Patrick's death in the fifth century. The Irish have observed this day as a religious holiday for over a thousand years. On St. Patrick's Day, which falls during the Christian season of Lent, Irish families would traditionally attend church in the morning and celebrate in the afternoon. Lenten rules and regulations against the consumption of meat were waived and people would dance, drink and feast—on the traditional meal of Irish bacon and cabbage.

Chef Fred Auletta's approach was inspired by his many cooking ventures starting at the age of 14 making pasta and bread in an Indiana Italian restaurant.  He then moved to Georgia and became the pit master in a famous BBQ restaurant.  After opening two BBQ restaurants, Fred was offered a job with an inspiring culinary expert: Buddy Chandler creating upscale cuisine, catering, consulting and menu development.  Chef Fred Auletta's inspiration to Fire Rock Grill & Bar is a straightforward approach to good food.  Everything is made from scratch with lunch specials offered daily.

Fire Rock's Saint Patrick's Day specials run March 16th-17th.  For hours of operation or more information about Fire Rock Grill & Bar visit http://www.firerockrestaurant.com/
