Rankin Ranch To Open March 26th With Family Fun For All During Spring Break

March 14, 2010 - PRLog -- Walker’s Basin CA March 14, 2010 – Historic Rankin Ranch located in scenic Walker’s Basin deep in the heart of the Tehachapi Mountains is set to open its 45th guest ranch season on March 26th with family fun for all during Spring Break. The annual event running from March 26th to April 11th is filled with activities like horseback riding, hay wagon rides, Barbeques, children’s activities and much more.

The 31,000-acre slice of California heaven has been a working cattle ranch since 1863 when Walker Rankin Sr. began raising white-faced Herefords. Raising cattle is still the family business 147 years later. But for the last four decades, the Rankin family has opened the ranch for six months of the year to weekend cowboys and nature lovers from across the country and around the world and is doing so again on March 26th.
