Unfortunately artificial lenses do not cure the problems, many consider that by wearing  them can bring more damage to the eyes. Eye exercises for nearsightedness is an option for eye treatment that are widely practiced by many people who want to leave their eye glasses behind.

It is a popular believe that nearsightedness is caused by over tired eye muscles. A research shows that myopia is not always determined by genetic factors.  Habit, lifestyle, or diet may be the cause of the eye disorder.  

Low Myopia
Myopia that is developed at early stage may be possible to be reversed to normal condition quite easily. It is better to minimize the use of corrective lenses provided it is safe to do so. Daily eye exercises for nearsightedness can increase the natural eye ability to focus object at long distance.

Here are basic eye exercises for nearsightedness:

Sit comfortable in a chair. Rub your palms together to make them warm, then cover your eyes. Close your eyes and try to relax. Inhale and exhale deeply.

Stand upright and put your feet slightly apart. Move your body from left to right then back to the first position facing up front, turn only your waist. Your eyes, torso and head must move together. Just concentrate at your movement and you don’t need to look at anything as you swing.

The sun is the center of energy. Sun rays energize your eyes. Try to walk outside and enjoy the morning sun.  Stand in a shady area, close your eyes and relax. Let the sun enter your lids then sway back and fort. Warning : do not  look directly at the sun.

By following  the above steps, you may gradually improve your eye problem.

Medium to High Myopia
If you are suffering from a more severe myopia, beside following the above basic eye exercises there  are various eye exercises for nearsightedness to practice in order to trigger the brain’s ability to acquire new vision skill. Beside these, you will need other visual program to fix the eye ability to focus far distant object permanently.
