Sunrise Aviation Partners With EPST For Pilot Aptitude And Selection Services

March 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Ormond Beach, Florida  - Sunrise Aviation announced today that they have selected the European Pilot Selection & Training (EPST) system for testing the aptitude of current and future pilots.  This new partnership will allow Sunrise Aviation to deliver a state of the art selection system for individual students or airline clients.

The EPST selection program for beginning students is called “COMPASS”.  This three part program includes an aptitude test that measures eye-hand-foot coordination, technical comprehension, memory ability, math ability, spatial orientation awareness, and ability to multi-task.  Additional parts of the selection system include verbal reasoning, aviation English ability and a personality profile.  All parts of the selection test can be completed in a ½ day session.

EPST and Sunrise Aviation also will offer an Advanced COMPASS test for pilots who have already completed training and are now ready for airline hiring.  This is especially valuable for employers and will help airline or business aviation companies make the best possible selection of pilot candidates.

All of the EPST airline pilot selection services can be delivered by computer and will be available at Sunrise Aviation’s main base in Ormond Beach, Florida as well as delivered remotely at conferences attended by future airline pilots.

Students and their sponsors or parents may want to use the new selection system to determine if a prospective pilot has the physical and mental capacity to be a successful pilot.  In some cases, those prospective pilots who have shortcomings in academic subjects or knowledge might be discovered by the testing and then may be solved through additional study.   The EPST selection program also includes an English language component and use of that in conjunction with a personal evaluation by Sunrise Aviation’s Aviation English instructor will give a prospective or current pilot the best possible assessment.
