Rocket Science Sports Thrilled to Sponsor Ironman Freddie Croneborg

March 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Rocket Science Sports is the official sponsor of triathlete star Freddie Croneborg.  Second overall in the 2008 Ironman China 70.3, and the MRA Bali International Triathlon for 2008 and 2009, Freddie is an amazing inspiration to the sport.

A Swedish athlete, Croneborg has always been involved in sports.  He explains, “I am from a family that likes sports, and my cousin is competing in the Olympics right now in cross country skiing.”  As a teenager, Freddie enjoyed skateboarding, golf, and snowboarding and placed in Swedish snowboarding championships.  

In 1997, Freddie began his training as a triathlete.  He joined the local swim squad as a beginner and by the end of the year was swimming with the elite squad.   For the next 6 years Croneborg competed intensely, winning the Swedish Junior Championship in triathlon and duathlon.  After taking first place in the 2002 Swedish Winter Marathon with an amazing 2:31, Freddie was named “Newcomer of the Year.”  

An extensive traveler, he has resided in the U.S., and the Netherlands.  Currently he lives in China and is a member of the Shanghai triathlon club.  Since 2007, he has competed with the Shanghai Tri Club in numerous events throughout Asia setting impressive records along the way.   Despite his success, Feddie says, “ I still have a lot of things to improve upon for long distance races, and am still far from my capacity.”  Freddie—keep up the good work and the best of luck this season!  View Freddie’s gear at http://rocketsciencesports.com.
