Express KCS adds the finishing touches to Leathams - the Food Innovators

Express KCS takes the initial design brief and implements the templates for the production of packaging designs across Leathams’ distinctive ranges of food products and ingredients. It also handles adaptation of designs and image sourcing.  Colin Hopkins, Leathams Marketing Manager, said that, as Leathams is currently revamping branding, design and packaging across its ranges, the relationship with Express KCS is deepening.

The company operates two divisions: Leathams Foodservice and Leathams Retail and Ingredients, offering more than 2000 cross-category products, featuring well-known brands including: Merchant Gourmet, SunBlush, Roquito, Chefs’ Brigade and Charcuti.

Mr Hopkins said that Express KCS not only understands the speed required in the food service industry supply chain, but also the importance of quality and consistency to ensure that brand standards are maintained.

“We have many suppliers across five continents, and all of our retail business is in the UK. There is still plenty of scope to expand our reach and add even more value for our customers,” Mr Hopkins said. “We see Express KCS as partners in that aim, and we have come to rely on their expertise in quality production of our packaging materials.”

Express KCS and Leathams are in discussions about further developments, including expanding their work in developing web microsites for individual product ranges.
