Resin Jewellery Opens up a new dimension in the design of fashion accessories

The popularity of working with resin as a medium in the design and manufacture of jewellery is soaring, its workability and versatility allows designers to produce unique pieces that could not be created using any other material.
March 9, 2010 - PRLog -- are pleased to welcome the 'Know Your Onions', range of resin jewellery onto their website.

Know Your Onions is the brainchild of designer Jayne Simmonds who having worked for many years designing for the ceramics industry decided it was time to branch out and set up her own business designing and making an original range of jewellery using resin as her preferred medium to work with.

Resin jewellery is made from liquid plastic that magically turns solid when a hardener is added, the process allowed Jayne to develop and design loose organic shapes that have a basic natural texture.

Jewellery has always been her passion and using resin has allowed her to produce big and bold contemporary pieces that reflect her love of grand statements her pieces can be worn with cutting edge fashion or with your old favourite jeans and a t-shirt.
Her pieces are intricately engraved with fine detail and patterns that give them a heirloom quality, yet are big, bold and dramatic.

Her broad chunky bangles decorated with butterflies or flowing Peacock feathers are beautifully created to give a sense of tranquil peace to the wearer.

Her brooches shaped as daisies or butterflies are so delicate and pretty that even a child would be delighted to wear one of these playful tokens.

The range of pendants, brooches and bangles are available in two finishes, ivory and slate, made of resin the two colours work well mixed together or on their own.
