SMG Records & Media & Welcomes Penelope Write

March 7, 2010 - PRLog -- SMG Records & Media has been deemed to be one of Midwest’s most notable  music labels in the Country.  As of this January 2010, not only has SMG Records & Media has signed a lucrative distribution deal with a major distributor, they selected Penelope Write to serve as their VP (Vice President).  The partnership will enable SMG Records  to expand its reach with the dissemination of their Musical CD’s  and DVDs worldwide.  This major Music Distributor will facilitate their content of music via digital/physical sales, ringtones, and other mobile music promotional tools that would revolve around its hottest Music Group, “Grown Folks.”  Grown Folks is based out of Grand Rapids, MI and was established in 2006 by Super Producer DJ Strange & one of today’s  most talented Lyrical Mc’s in the Midwest, Don Juan.

With its originality and unique Midwest Sound, Grown Folks has built a reputation that compliments their ability to compose and produce incomparable musical beats and lyrics that are soothing to the ears, yet groovy for the feet.  DJ Strange has produced for Artists such as Adina Howard, Sir-Mix-A-lot, and Chico Debarge.  Furthermore, he has also performed in sessions with Parlee of the Franchize Boys and a hosts of  Musicians and Musical Groups that have originated from the State of Michigan in conjunction with the Midwest Region.   In light of Grown Folks’ music production mastering, the group is proclaimed to have the much needed sound for today’s Hip Hop Industry.
