Treasure Coast Women's Council Hosts 2nd Annual Bachelor/Bachelorette Charity Auction

March 5, 2010 - PRLog -- One of the most exciting events on the Treasure Coast is back for a second year and word is, it will be bigger and better than ever!

The Treasure Coast Women’s Council will host the Second Annual Bachelor/Bachelorette Charity Auction on Friday, March 26th from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the beautiful Pelican Yacht Club on Fort Pierce’s South Hutchinson Island.

More than 20 Bachelors and Bachelorettes will walk the runway in a bid to raise the most dollars. This year’s event will benefit the VanDuzer Foundation, a local Foundation whose goal is to provide assistance to individuals and families who have catastrophic medical and financial needs but who do not always qualify for state or federal aid (www.thevanduzerfoundation.org).

The slate of Bachelors and Bachelorettes are a diverse group of professionals including police officers, fire fighters, attorneys, nurses, office managers, and real estate agents.  Each Bachelor/Bachelorette will provide a “Dream Date” and some of the dates up for bid currently are tickets to sporting events and concerts, gourmet dinners and chartered fishing trips. There will also be a silent auction with items such as hotel stays, wine baskets, spa experiences and more.

Admission is only $25 per person and the bidding will start at only $100 per Bachelor/Bachelorette. Cocktail attire is required but don’t expect a stuffy evening.  Traxx Entertainment will be providing the music and delicious hors d’oeuvres by the classically-trained chef at the Pelican Yacht Club will be served.
