Who Is In Your NeighborHood?

March 4, 2010 - PRLog -- People in this era rarely take the time to know their neighbors.  Dad and mom both work while the kids are tied up in school and extra curricular activities. We live our lives in a demanding world with a full schedule. No wonder we do not have time to get to know our neighbors, we barely have time to know our families.

In larger towns neighbors come and go in an endless cycle. One day the moving truck is moving the people in next door and then back out again. We live in a society where people do not put roots down like they use to.

Really, who is living next door! Do you know or do you even care? You should because there is an ever increasing population of sexual offenders. It seems like every time you turn on the news some child, teen or woman has been sexually assaulted.

The legal system has in place a sexual offender registry. The sexual offenders have to register their information whenever they move. How many of us are paying attention to this information provided to us?

I lived in a large city for a couple of years and I decided to check out a one-eighth radius circle around our Church and Church School. Boy, was I ever shocked! I found so many sexual offenders it was ridiculous. One very violent sex offender just lived at the edge of our property.
