Author Robert Rusoff To Speak at Global Import Training Seminar

The International Trade Center’s award winning Global Market Series-Import Training now offered in webinar & seminar formats welcomes author and international procurement expert Robert Rusoff to speak on topics dealing with international sourcing.

March 10, 2010 - PRLog -- The Global Market Series-Import Certification, an award winning series presented by industry experts and certified by the Institute for Supply Management, Dallas, will be available by webinar/seminar for the first time and will feature author and international procurement expert, Robert Rusoff on March 11th, 2010.

Robert Rusoff has served as a Principal Procurement Specialist at Beckman Coulter, Inc.  Previous professional experience includes over thirty (30) years in domestic and international procurement at AST Research, Loral Aeronutronic and McDonnell Douglas where he held a variety of management positions.  He has purchased supplies and services from suppliers/subcontractors in Canada, Israel, England, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore.

Mr. Rusoff taught Coastline Community College’s International Purchasing Course for nine years from 1990 to 1999. In 2004, Bob and his wife, Judy, co-authored a book, entitled “Introduction to International Procurement and Global Supply Chain”.

The Import seminar series welcomes other leading industry experts on related topics including: how to establish a decision making process to compare outsourcing options; how to determine landed costs; the key components and best practices in international supply chain management; how the use of an FTZ might work for your company or product; the role of a customs broker and freight forwarder; the most common international payment mechanisms; the legal agreements and forms used in an import purchase transaction and become familiar with  C-TPAT and other current compliance topics.

The complete Import Session Series dates are March 11, 18 and 25, 2010.
