March 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Now in its fifth year, this conference will once again bring together the leading oil and gas companies, gas shipping and utilities companies from around the globe to discuss on discovering new frontiers and aligning strategies in the current and prospective markets to remain at the fore front of the LNG industry.   marcus evans is proud to be associated with Government of Western Australia, Department of Mines & Petroleum who are the Industry partner for this event

Global demand for LNG is forecasted to triple by 2030 to meet the burgeoning demand for a clean energy source. LNG is the answer to the new energy world as we move towards clean energy sources. LNG is a thriving industry with worldwide demand growing and Asia Pacific remains the largest market with two thirds of global LNG trade. Established markets like Japan and Korea along with India and China are emerging as major LNG players. With Australia emerging as one of the biggest LNG producers worldwide, it opens doors to new business opportunities and trade. Dynamic changes like new emerging markets, new projects and revolutionary developments in LNG technology and project development are widening the horizons of LNG market.

Asia pacific remains as one of the dynamic hot spot of LNG trade. The world has recently seen the demand going slow as capacity and supply increases. Demand for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Asia-Pacific is showing early signs of a pickup and its recovery is set to outstrip the pace of supply growth, although the market is expected to see a surge in new supply in the next 12-18 months. Strong growth in long-term LNG demand, combined with a tight market, would mean that the gas pricing in Asia-Pacific would remain linked to oil prices.

Australia is now the 18th largest producer of natural gas, the seventh largest exporter of LNG in the world and the third-largest LNG exporter in the Asia-Pacific Region. The outlook for Australia’s LNG industry is for continued high growth, with exports forecast to rise dramatically from 7.8 million tonnes in 1999 to 20 million tonnes by 2010.

The 5th Annual LNG World 2010 is scheduled to run in Perth, Australia from August 30-31, 2010. This conference aims to provide a valuable platform to address key issues in the LNG industry through well designed and well researched streams providing insights into world LNG markets, projects, technology, trading and pricing. This event is sponsored by Platinum Sponsor - Bureau Veritas, Gold Sponsors - PricewaterhouseCoopers, Yokogawa, DNV (Det Norske Veritas) and   Bronze Sponsor – Sichuan Air Separation Plant (Group) Co.Ltd.
