March 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Keynotes from the electronic manufacturing industry and academia leaders will be among the highlights of the 2nd Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design 2010 (ASQED 2010), set for August 3rd – 4th,  2010 at The Gurney Resort Hotel in Penang.

Co-organized and managed by the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MiGHT), Malaysian Institute of Microsystems (MIMs) and The International Society for Quality Electronic Design (ISQED.org) with support from Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA), ASQED 2010 creates a platform for the industry to discuss the issues and technology advancement surrounding quality electronic design, process, tool and methodologies.

Keynoters include:
Richard Goldman, Vice President Corporate Marketing & Strategic Alliances, Synopsys Inc.
Dr. Hitoshi Tabata, Professor, Head of Department of Bioengineering, University of Tokyo.
Paul Emerson, General Manager New Business Providing Grounds, HVAL, Texas Instruments.
Sanjiv Taneja, Vice President, Encounter Test Business, Cadence Design Systems.
Dr. Jeroen Leitgen, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Silicon Hive.
Prof. Kamran Eshraghian, Founder and President of Eshraghian Laboratories Pty Ltd (ELabs).

Premiering papers related to circuit and system design (digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal), semiconductor manufacturing, advanced IC Packaging, Test, Electronic Design Automation (EDA), as well as emerging semiconductor nano/bio-technologies, and photovoltaic electronics,  ASQED 2010 has added multiple interactive workshops for those who desire in-depth, interactive, and focused insight into the various aspects of electronic manufacturing.

Strives to bridge the gap among electronic design tools and processes, integrated circuit technologies, processes & manufacturing, to achieve design quality in Asia, the symposium is hosting three parallel tracks with near 100 technical presentations, tutorials and other informal meetings. All conference proceedings will be published by IEEE and posted in the IEEE digital library.

The symposium is now accepting papers in the following areas:
•   Circuit & System Design
•   Test & Verification
•   IC Packaging Technology
•   PCB and PWB Technology & Manufacturing
•   Semiconductor Technology & Manufacturing
•   Nano and Bio Electronics Innovations
•   Photovoltaic Technology & Manufacturing
•   Electronic Design Automation Methodologies
•   Mechanical Electro Machine System (MEMS)
