March 2, 2010 - PRLog -- After taking a couple years off the pro wakeboard tour, Jonathan is eyeing 2010 to return to the biggest stage in Wakeboarding.  Wakeology couldn't be more excited for Nads and his return to the tour!!!

Not only is Jonathan an incredible rider, he is also a cool rider.  He does not take the ‘I'm better than you’ approach, instead he will go out and shred with anyone that is down for a sesh.  He truly loves the sport and will definitely play a role in the future success of it.

Nads has also played a big role in the development and success of Wakeology.  There have been many hours spent on the phone between Jonathan and Wakeology founder Jason Judd discussing everything from new shapes to team structure.  Jonathan has basically been with the team and the company from the start and has definitely been a big part of the success of the company and will continue to be in the future!

We had a Q&A with Jonathan so everyone could learn more about this super sick Wakeology Rider!  Read Below:

Wakeology:  Why Wakeboarding?
Jonathan Nadolski:  Let’s just say that I had a little confrontation with my football coach and by the next week I was already trying to do tantrums on a wakeboard. After my first ride I was hooked.

Wakeology:  Why did you choose Wakeology over other board companies?
Jonathan Nadolski:  Jason Judd has some great ideas for the company and I want to be a part of it. I love the new product line up.

Wakeology:  Where are you from/Where do you live?
Jonathan Nadolski:  I was born in Merriville, Indiana.  I am currently in Lafayette, Indiana. Surrounded by all this damn corn!

Wakeology:  Who are some of your biggest influences?
Jonathan Nadolski:  Darin Shapiro of course, and I have always been influenced by my mother Robin Camisa.

Wakeology:  Who are your riding buddies?
Jonathan Nadolski:  When I am in Florida I ride with some old Jr. Men buddies, Danny Thollander and Scot Ferwerda.  When I am in Indiana I ride with Matt Crowe and Rob Riewoldt, they aren’t pros but they both throw down and represent the Midwest to the fullest.

Wakeology:  Where do you see Wakeology going in the future and what do you plan on doing to helping the company grow?
Jonathan Nadolski:  I see Wakeology progressing into a well established company.  Staying focused on good product and a good team is key.  We want to build boards that anyone can ride, not just another pro model.  Why pay for a name?  Pay for a board that fits YOU.

I plan on competing on the PWT so more people can have face time with our product.

WAKEOLOGY:  What are some of the highlights of your career?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Contests were always a good time, it’s fun to do well in them, but I don’t really consider them highlights of my career. The highlights for me, is the traveling and all of the people you ride with along the way.  I have been to Sweden a few times and the scene over there is insane. Those contests were the most fun, not because I won, but because the moment the contest was over we were out on the boat coaching, partying, and just having a great time being together.

Another sweet gig was Woodcliff, Nebraska with Ronnie Romero.  I did some clinics in the past for him and had the time of my life.  Woodcliff is always smooth and I got to shred a lot with Kyle Alberts, super sick rider.  Best catfish that side of the Mississippi.

Last but surely not least, being a coach and friend with Darin Shapiro at Ride the Spot. I spent three amazing years at Shap’s crib learning the secrets of wakeboarding and coaching. I love coaching and helping people improve their riding. There is nothing like teaching someone how to do their first invert. Working there taught me a lot about life and how precious life’s moments really are. My biggest highlight on Lake Mary Jane though would have to be sticking a double backroll with Travis Moye in the driver seat and a boat full of students. I had never been more stoked in my entire life.

WAKEOLOGY:  What else do you do for fun?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Anything that is a rush. Surfing, MX, Snowboarding, Skateboarding and when we are bored in Indiana we either go sledding in the winter or float down the creek on some tubes.

WAKEOLOGY:  What's the coolest invention in wakeboarding?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Rails…period.

WAKEOLOGY:  What board, bindings and boat do you use?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  I am sporting Wakeology’s latest and greatest boots for 2010 which remain nameless at the moment, on top of my Wakeology Sick Transit 140. I usually kick it old school behind a 99 Mastercraft X-30 or I ride behind newer X-stars, I have a few friends believe it or not.

WAKEOLOGY:  How fast do you ride and how long is your line?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  I ride about 80 at 23mph.

WAKEOLOGY:  What's your take on the current state of wakeboarding comps?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  I will keep this short and sweet. I haven’t been on the PWT in three seasons and I am sure not a damn thing has changed except for a few small demands by the organizers to the riders.

WAKEOLOGY:  What do you think about the progression of the sport as a whole? What would you like to see change?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Over the years I have seen the sport change by leaps and bounds every year; mobes, towers, rails, cable systems, etc.  As a whole Wakeboarding has come very far, but I feel that it has reached a plateau and in order for it to ever be as big as other action sports it needs to be more affordable and accessible.
Contests need to change and the focus should be cable parks and rails. I hate to say that because I love riding boat, but it just isn’t very practical in these hard times.

WAKEOLOGY:  What new tricks are you working on right now?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Currently I am just getting things consistent and tuned up. Once I feel I have reached that goal I would like to focus on hitting gnarly rails more than anything. I think it is cool that you have all of these riders like Harf, Rusty, and Rathy pulling 1080’s, but it’s just not my cup of tea. Rails have really grown on me in the last couple of years.

WAKEOLOGY:  What are your plans for 2010?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Hopefully the PWT and more importantly, sharing Wakeology’s products with the world.  I would love to make my way back down to Orlando to live, but I have to take this all one step at a time. Basically, just ride and have as much fun as possible.

WAKEOLOGY:  Where do you usually ride?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  In Florida I usually ride on Lake Pickett or Lake Mills, in Indiana I ride on Geist, White River, Lake Freeman or Lake Shafer (they are right next to each other), and sometimes up north at Lakes of Four Seasons.

WAKEOLOGY:  Which riders do you look up to?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  I have always looked up to Darin Shapiro, but I also admire Danny Harf and have to make the statement that there will NEVER be another rider as good as he is…except for maybe Sean Obrien.

WAKEOLOGY:  Whom would you like to thank?
JONATHAN NADOLSKI:  Obviously I would like to thank Wakeology and my teammates for such and awesome team trip in 2009. Pinecrest Marine for all of the legit Mastercraft boats they send my way. Also, Action Profiles and Dub Nutrition for our photo shoot at Lake Powell and Antelope Point this past year. My mom for draining our bank accounts into wakeboarding and the PWT, I guess I can thank myself for that one too. Shapiro and Ferraro for all of the best coaching tips on earth. I want to thank EVERY single wakeboarder in the world, because without them Pros would not have jobs or fans.

This might sound odd, but I even want to thank all of the sponsors that I don’t ride for anymore. I enjoyed all of the good times and epic adventures we have had over the years.
