Biofuels at the forefront of Trumatech's CEO Peter Cennamo's agenda

Peter Cennamo Discusses Trumatech's Commitment to the Development of technology for changing Sugars into Biodiesel
By: Peter Cennamo

March 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Houston, TX - "We've always advocated a sustainable approach to biofuels, calling for international sustainability standards to cover greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental and social impacts of biofuels", says Peter Cennamo, CEO of Trumatech. "We're convinced that biofuels can make a big difference to reducing climate change without adversely affecting food supplies if they're done well," he added.

Trumatech is committed to advance the development of a step-change technology for the conversion of sugars into biodiesel. This technology offers an alternative to the current process used to produce biodiesels from vegetable oils. Trumatech believes sugar-to-diesel technology has the potential to deliver economic, sustainable and scaleable biodiesel supplies.

Sugar-to-diesel technology uses advanced biological science to convert sugars derived from biomass feedstocks-such as sugar cane or dedicated energy grasses-into diesel fuel molecules. Biodiesel produced in this way from sustainable feedstocks will have the potential to deliver greenhouse gas emission reductions of up to 80-90% when compared to traditional fossil fuels
