March 2, 2010 - PRLog -- Marine batteries can be the bane of a mariner’s life. Set out to sea without a full battery and you could be heading for a lot of trouble. If your battery dies, it could spell disaster, or at the very least, make that relaxing leisure trip a major stressful event.  A pleasant day on the ocean waves should be a stress free event and anything which will help you to achieve this is a godsend. So how can you be sure that your battery will not die on you, and there is sufficient charge to see you through a few hours and will enable you to get back to shore safely? Well, experienced seamen will tell you that marine battery chargers are essential items to ensure personal safety. Get onto the subject of battery chargers and you could be in for a long night, as boat fanatics rave about their choice of charger. Of course, being able to fully charge a battery before you set out is paramount to a successful trip. However where do you start? What do you look for? What type of battery charger should you buy? All important questions to ask oneself, and a lot of research is required to ensure that you choose the right one for your battery requirements, and get the best value for money.

Fortunately for the likes of amateur sailors around the world others have been caught out and are willing to offer their advice to help others not make the same mistakes. Michael Mathers is one such person, who has taken it upon himself to advise others of the perils of failing batteries and offer simple and easy solutions.  “Speaking from personal experience, I would hate others to have to go through the same situation as me” says Michael.  This is the reason for his website and for taking the initiative to offer advice on the best marine battery chargers to use. Marine battery chargers are the perfect home solution to ensure that batteries are kept fully charged. “What I didn’t realize, was that whilst the battery was fully charged when I bought it, that the battery can lose its charge if left for long periods without being used”, says Michael. It is a common problem, and whilst many would know this from experience with a car, for some reason when it comes to a boat, it is often something that is overlooked, or forgotten.
The sea is a large place, and what appears to be only a short distance traveled can hamper search and rescue considerably. Ocean currents, failure to mention to others where you plan to take the boat or a change of mind on the direction to take you well out of the expected position. The last thing you want is to be caught out where no one knows where to look for you. It may not spell disaster, however it can turn a dream trip into a nightmare. Fortunately Michael has created a website whereby people can be educated, not only to the importance of choosing the correct Marine battery chargers to use, but cover the details necessary to save considerable research time and make large cost savings.

After having spend his time advising mariners on how to choose the best battery chargers, and giving the benefit of his experience, what does he plan to do next?  “I was thinking of setting up a blog on my site to help out with other common boat problems, and if time permits, add to the information that is on the site to help people further” says Michael.
