Cook With Herbs And Spices. Make Healthy Eating Intresting And Appetizing.
Add a lot of vegetables and herbs and cook with spices. Cooking burgers in the oven, help to reduce the fat element. The oil and fat drains and the meat is soft and delicious. Vegetable cooked with herbs and spices are tasty and good for you.
This preparation will serve four. I have a soft corner for pesto, and I cook it every other day.
One pound of dried Penne.
fresh basil springs to garnish.
Two garlic cloves.
1/4 cup of pine nuts.
four ounces of fresh basil leaves.
half cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
Half cup of olive oil.
To make the pesto, put the garlic, pine nuts, a large pinch of salt, and the basil into a mortar and pound it into a paste with a pestle. Transfer to a bowl and add the Parmesan cheese, mixing it with a wooden spoon, followed by the olive oil , to make a thick, creamy sauce. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Add the basil leaves and process to a paste. Gradually add the olive oil and transfer into a bowl and beat the mixture adding the balance Parmesan cheese. Season to taste with salt.
Bring a large pan of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Let it boil for eight to ten minutes until it is tender. Drain the pasta well, return it to the pan and toss it with half the pesto. Minestrone soup is vegetarian. I use vegetable stock to cook the soup at low heat.The mixture of vegetables, beans and tomato make the minestrone soup a healthy meal.
Minestrone soup will serve six people.
vTwo table spoon of olive oil.
Two sliced onions.
Two garlic cloves finely chopped.
Three chopped carrots
Two chopped celery stalks.
One cup of dried cannellini beans, soaked in cold water overnight.
Fouteen ounces of canned chopped tomato.
Eight cups of vegetable stock.
Twelve ounces of sliced potatos.
Six ounces of macaroni or other soup pasta.
Six ounces of sliced green beans.
One cup of fresh or frozen peas.
Eight ounces of sliced cabbage.
Three table spoons of chopped fresh leaf parsley.
Salt and pepper to taste.

It usually takes about one and a half hours to cook cannellini beans to become tender.
Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy bottom pan. Add the onions and garlic and stir for five minutes.
Add the carrots and celery and cook for another five minutes or until all the vegetables are soft.
Drain the soaked beans and add them to the pan with the tomato’s and their can juices and the vegetable stock. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover and let it simmer for one hour.
Add the potato’s and re-cover and cook for fifteen minutes, then add the pasta,green beans, peas, cabbage and parsley. Cover and cook for an additional fifteen minutes or until all the vegetables are tender. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Ladle the soup into warmed soup bowls and serve with Parmesan cheese shavings.

How to make a grilled chicken tikka in twenty minutes. Substitute the Tandoor with the oven, grill for just fifteen minutes at 380 and it is ready, and finger licking good!
I was expecting visitors for dinner and wanted to prepare a special dish without spending too much time. Grilled chicken tikka is tasty and easy to cook.
8 ounces of boneless chicken breast.
Two table spoons of low fat sour cream.
Four green chili peppers.
Four cloves of Garlic.
100 grams of ginger.
Three table spoon Tandoori chicken masala.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Two table spoons of olive oil.
Place the olive oil in a skillet and heat it. Place thinly sliced green pepper, thinly sliced garlic and thinly sliced ginger in the frying pan. Let it fry for about three minutes.Slice the breast of chicken into 2 inch rectangular pieces. and mix it with the low fat sour cream, tandoori chicken masala and add the sauteed green pepper, garlic and ginger mixture and see that it is well blended. Place this chicken, sour cream, blend on a plate and let it marinate for about three hours.

Heat the oven to 380 degrees F. Use a non stick tray to cook. Cover the tray with Aluminium foil, place individual piece of marinated chicken on the tray with an inch gap between pieces. Cook for fifteen minutes. Once the cooking is complete, remove the tray from the oven as the chicken has a tendency to dry if left in the oven.
