Melanie Dickie Joins The Global Fund for Children UK Trust

GFC welcomes Melanie Dickie as head of business development for Europe at The Global Fund for Children UK Trust.
 
March 1, 2010 - PRLog -- The Global Fund for Children welcomes Melanie Dickie as head of business development for Europe at The Global Fund for Children UK Trust. Dickie has worked in international marketing and business for over 18 years. Most recently, she served as vice president of marketing communications for global satellite communications company SES New Skies, where she managed the organization’s marketing strategy, including the development and implementation of multiple marketing programs and campaigns in Europe, Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. With an extensive background in positioning, branding, awareness raising, and market development activities, Dickie brings a wealth of international outreach experience to The Global Fund for Children UK Trust.

“I am excited about this opportunity to contribute to the expansion of The Global Fund for Children as it scales up its fundraising efforts and moves towards its goal of becoming the largest network of NGOs that support children and youth worldwide,” said Dickie. “What draws me most to The Global Fund for Children is its model for supporting community-based grassroots organizations and the impact they have in providing the foundations of a decent life for the world’s most vulnerable children.”

Dickie earned her bachelor’s degree in European studies and politics from The University of Hull and is currently enrolled in a master’s program in management for international nongovernmental organizations at Webster University in Leiden, Netherlands.
