Nokia X6 White Now in 16GB & 32GB (Nokia X6 Blue/Silver)

March 1, 2010 - PRLog -- The new Nokia X6 Blue edition is now available in both 32GB and 16GB variants, also known as the White Nokia X6 (and sometimes even Silver) this latest phone from Nokia's new X-Range is the first model in the series to be offered in both memory formats.

This latest Blue model joins an ever increasing number of colour variants, these now include the Nokia X6 Silver and Black 16GB models as well as the original Red/Black 32GB edition.

There is also a planned Yellow colour scheme for the X6 as well as a Pink edition which should appeal to the gadget loving ladies as well as those who love their music.

The Nokia X6 Blue 16GB is the latest addition to the X6 range, it takes all of the great features of the original 32GB blue model and offers half the internal memory capacity but this can now be expanded using MicroSD cards unlike the 32GB edition.

The external colour scheme remains unchanged from the orignial handset and the only other major difference is that the 'Comes with Music' service has been removed from this new 16GB X6 edition to keep costs down.

This means that for a far keener price tag you still get that high quality 5 mega pixel camera with Carl Ziess optics, the magnificent 3.2 inch full touch screen display and that all important 3.5mm audio jack for using your own standard headphones to listen to your favourite music tracks.

The 16GB Nokia X6 does face too stiff competition from rival manufacturers, the closest competitor actually comes from within Nokia's own portfolio with the Nokia N97 mini which offers exactly the same 3.2 inch touch screen but also includes a slide out Qwerty keyboard for quick text input.

Sony Ericsson do have a well known range of dedicated music phones called the Walkman series, however, none of their models are fully touch screen orientated as with the Nokia X6. The highest specification device on offer is the Sony Ericsson W995 which although packs in a massive 8.1 mega pixel camera does rely on a keypad for menu navigation and text input.

Another competitor comes in the form of the Sony Ericsson Aino which does offer a good sized screen but is limited in its touch abilities to just a few features.

If the 5.0 mega pixel camera and 3.2 inch touch screen appeal more than the music capabilities of the X6 then this does open up the market to many new handsets, the LG Pop offers the same camera as does the Samsung Jet, both also feature a full touch screen experience.

Other competitors include the HTC Touch 2 and HTC HD2, the Samsung Omnia 2 and the recent Sony Ericsson Satio which takes the camera even further to a mind blowing 12.1 mega pixels!

The new Blue edition of the Nokia X6 16GB is initially an Orange exclusive mobile phone, however this new addition to the 16GB X6 range will surely be picked up by further networks after this limited time frame has expired.
