The tendering authorities like State Public Works Departments (PWD), Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) etc. calling these type of tenders empanel contractors in various class depending on their capacity to carry out such works, e.g.

A Class Contractors: Any Value
B Class Contractors: Upto Rs. 1,00,00,000
C Class: Upto Rs. 50,00,000 etc.
