Punjabi Music Awards 2010

Feb. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- PTC Network (PTC Punjabi, PTC News and PTC Chak De), the leading Punjabi Entertainment, News and Music channels, are coming up with the  2nd Edition of "PTC PUNJABI MUSIC AWARDS 2010", an honor and recognition of the best talent in Punjabi Music Industry. The event is organized on 6th March’ 2010 at PAP Grounds Jalandhar.

The Night promises to unveil some unforgettable moments for the viewers from the Punjabi Music Industry. It is not just an event but a festival that showcases and recognizes the best of the year’s Punjabi Music Singers, The Music Composers, The Choreographers-displaying the best of Punjab to the World. There are a total of 27 categories and Life Time Contribution in the Punjabi Music Industry.

After going through the process of screening and selection procedure by the selection committee / panel, the process is now open for viewer voting. To vote  for their favorite artists, viewers can vote via mobile SMS’s send on 58888. Also, online voting is enabled on a dedicated website ie. (ptcpmusicawards.com). Finally, results of the voting by viewers and eminent music personalities will be combined to announce winners during the LIVE telecast of the Grand Finale.

Selection Procedure

To keep the whole selection process fair and unbiased, all music companies were asked to file their nominations in each category for the work produced in year 2009. More than 100 prominent personalities and artistes from the Punjabi music industry formed a panel who finalized the nominations in each category which was then be open to viewer voting. The final results are compiled with equal weightage to audience response and judges vote. This will conclude in a LIVE telecast of the award ceremony on PTC Punjabi, PTC News and PTC Chakde.


Event Management

There is no external agency appointed for handling this event. PTC Network is completely equipped to handle the most large-scale of events, outdoor as well as indoor, at an in-house level, right from the conceptualization, to production, artist coordination, to set designing and mounting, to marketing and sales. In the past couple of years, PTC has conducted various events in India and other countries. Some of these include beauty and talent pageant Miss PTC Punjabi 2008 and 2009, PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2009, Retail Awards ‘Punjab De No. 1" in 2008 and 2009. International events of large scale with A-level Punjabi artists in Canada, Dubai, London, etc.

Marketing & Promotions

Besides on-air promotion across PTC Entertainment, News and Music channels, the promotion plan included ground activation through hoardings in Punjabi, a dedicated website www.ptcpmusicawards.com, print ads in Punjab editions of newspapers and promos in local cable media in Punjab. The property is already a recognized name in Punjab and PTC hopes to make it bigger with each year.

The sponsors for PTC Punjabi Music Awards 2010 include premium brands across the categories of FMCG- wafers, biscuits, confectionery, mouth fresheners, shampoo, toothpaste, hair care, etc. Other categories include building material, immigration consultants, shoes, handsets etc.
