About the Author: M.K. Hope, Ph.D., is a licensed professional counselor and a doubly certified district and superior court mediator. Dr. Hope is head of the Department of Mediation at Cloverdale College, where she offers 12 online courses in conflict analysis and mediation at the doctorate level. She also teaches psychology at Guilford Technical Community College in Greensboro, N.C., where she lives with her two daughters, Kate and Emily.
