Premier League Darts – Week 3 preview

Feb. 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Thursday night at Belfast kicks off with Mervyn King v Ronnie Baxter – with Mervyn being in storming form.  Not only is King 2 from 2 in the prem league, but he’s also coming from a 2 from 2 weekend in the players championship and UK Open qualifiers.  All that on top of a final at the Circus Tavern and you’ve got a case for Mervyn King being in the top two in the world at the moment.  Ronnie will have to find his form, and his flowing 180’s and double top outs very quickly if he’s got a chance.

Adrian Lewis played a stunner last week, it’s just a case of can he keep it together for two weeks on the trot.  Terry Jenkins appears to be this years draw specialist, and is a totally different (calm) character to Adrian.

Newbie Simon Whitlock comes to Belfast with a fairly decent weekend at Swindon, so his form is OK.  Barny is hard to predict at the moment – will he relish a fight against darts rising challenger?

It will be hard to predict a win for James Wade vs. the Power – Phil has enjoyed beating James in recent games, since James beat him in the premier league a couple of years ago.  Wade seems to have lost his sparkle, and is finding practice hard (unless you want to correct me James?  Feel free to contact for an interview!).

Whatever happens, we know it’s going to be another entertaining night – and I’m hoping for some HIGHER averages too as things settle down.
