Winters Offers Thermowell As Standard On Thermometer

Feb. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Winters’ industrial 5” (TAS) and 9” (TIM) types, HVAC bi-metal (TBT), solar digital (TSD) and hot water (TSW) thermometers come complete with a removable thermowell. Thermowells create “sealed systems” where temperature measurement can be safely performed. With the media contained, replacement or service of thermometers may occur without the need to drain or shut down the system.

Thermowells offer superior protection to thermometers as they isolate them from media that may be harmful or corrosive. They also shield the sensitive sensing element of thermometers from high pressures.

For the TBM (Bi-metal) Series which does not come standard with a thermowell, discuss your requirements with a Winters technical sales representative in order to identify the type of thermowell you need.
