Musical Duo’s Charity Concert Works In Harmony With The Environment

Karin Leitner and Duccio Lombardi have been touring the UK for the last ten years with various chamber music and charity concerts as well as having been soloists with orchestras. On Sunday 7 March they will play to raise money for Trees for Cities.

Feb. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Internationally-renowned flautist Karin Leitner will be playing a programme of original music at Rosslyn Hill Chapel, Hampstead on Sunday 7 March at 3pm to raise money for Trees for Cities.

Leitner, who is currently touring Europe, will perform tracks from her new collection Earthmagic, with harpist Duccio Lombardi at the north London venue.

The Austrian musician is a keen supporter of the urban tree planting charity, which aims to promote the benefits of trees and green spaces to city residents in the UK and beyond.

Accompanied by Lombardi, she will perform a vibrant mix of pieces, including, among others, the full Sonata in C Major by JS Bach, Beau Soir by Debussy and her own compositions, which have been inspired by nature.

Proceeds go to Trees for Cities, the urban tree planting charity whose mission is to improve city spaces and bring people together by increasing the number of plants and trees. In total the charity has planted over 140,000 trees worldwide on streets, in parks, local woodlands and community projects.

Tickets are on sale now at £15, and can be purchased from www.treesforcities.org/concert or by calling 020 7820 4415. Any unsold tickets will be available on the door.
