Nh Roller Derby Announces 2010 Home Season

Feb. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- NHRD topped Vermont’s Green Mountain Derby Dames 79-72 in overtime for their season opened in front of a sell-out crowd of 1,400 at Burlington’s Champlain Valley Expo. The excitement rolls to Manchester on April 24th for NH’s home season opener against the Garden State Rollergirls.

Home Season Dates and Opponents:
April 24th, 6pm      NH Skate Free or Die! All-Stars vs. NJ Garden State Rollergirls
May 22nd, 6pm      NH Skate Free or Die! All-Stars vs. MA Pioneer Valley Roller Derby
June 26th, 6pm      NH Skate Free or Die! All-Stars vs. NY Roc City Roller Derby
July 31st, 6pm      RollerConsolation – A massive mixed scrimmage featuring skaters from around New England
August 28th, 6pm   NH Skate Free or Die! All-Stars vs. PA Lehigh Valley Rollergirls
All bouts are played at the JFK Memorial Coliseum in Manchester, NH.

This will be NHRD’s first full season as a member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) Apprentice program which will prepare them for full sanctioning in the international organization.

The league has launched an all-new website for fans to coincide with the start of the season and acceptance into the WFTDA Apprentice Program. Fans can now easily purchase tickets for the entire season, view their upcoming schedule at a glance, read about their favorite skaters, buy NHRD merchandise, and catch up on the latest league news. The new site highlights the community events and charities the league is involved in throughout the region including the American Red Cross, NH Food Bank, Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, Girls, Inc., and more.
