Feb. 20, 2010 - PRLog -- Blanket America has gained a long list of celebrity supporters at the Sundance Film Festival. The charity is set to help 1 million Americans and 80,000 Haitians in need.

Blanket America is a buy, one give one charity with the goal of helping one million Americans this year. Gifts in Kind International works as an intermediary to distribute these blankets to the poor. Lately, a lot has been happening with the charity. In late December, Blanket America launched with great success. The Today Show and QVC, Amazon.com, JCPenney's stores and many news publications have lent a hand to the cause.

Blanket America, creators of the Patchwork Heritage collection, designed this commemorative collection in response to President Barak Obama's call to action. Obama told us on January 20, 2009 that we were responsible for overcoming our differences, pulling together and doing our parts to make America a better place to live for us and for posterity.

On January 12, 2010 the earthquake in Haiti inspired Blanket America to expand their vision and reach in order to provide 80,000 sheets to earthquake victims. Since that time, Blanket America has spread the word and gained even more support from Celebrities. During the Sundance Film Festival, Blanket America filmed several PSA's with Hollywood's hottest stars.
