Feb. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- The Minister of Public Works and Communications, Efraín Alegre, said in recent months his Ministry intended to open the doors of the sectors of construction and engineering to multinational contractors who could add value in technology, know-how and experienced leading practices.

Major infrastructure projects are currently planned to be developed in Paraguay until 2013. Some of them are roadworks, the aqueduct of Chaco, road concessions, modernization of the airport system, the waterway in his Paraguayan trench, building construction of public offices and Costanera avenue in the capital, sanitation projects, among others, adding that the required investment reaches a sum of USD 4,000 million to meet the deadline.

During the trip in December 2009 the Minister to the capital of Spain, he held bilateral meetings with company representatives who requested other meetings to present their experiences directly, work systems that could offer to Paraguay and requested further data on the projects submitted, and therefore agreed to further deepen through direct communications between technicians of the MOPC, and the companies involved.
