Earth Day Event Provides Opportunity For Entertainment To Showcase Their Talents

Feb. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- The celebration of Earth Day is a pivotal opportunity for people, corporations, and governments to join together to create a global green economy.  

Long Beach-based Bravo Productions, an event planning and production company, is working with the Sanitation Districts of Los Angeles County in staging their annual Earth Day event, which will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.  It's expected to attract up to 4,000 people.  The location is 1955 Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California 90607.

Bravo Productions is seeking family-friendly entertainment acts to perform gratis at this year’s event.  From Flamenco dancers, gymnasts and face painters to self-contained drummers, magicians and jugglers, the variety of performers can run the gamut.  “Due to the current economic climate, performers will not be compensated, however, this is certainly a great way for groups and individuals to showcase their talents to a large, diverse audience and demonstrate their support for such a worthwhile cause,” says Greg Jenkins, partner of Bravo Productions.  Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) performers are especially needed.

This Earth Day event is both entertaining and educational, providing attendees with information and hands-on activities to help them conserve natural resources and protect the environment.  The event features exhibitors, earth-friendly arts and crafts, a train ride, tours of the Sanitation Districts' facilities, food, environmental workshops and entertainment.

The Sanitation Districts are a confederation of 24 independent special districts working cooperatively under a Joint Administration Agreement with one administrative staff headquartered near Whittier, California.  The Sanitation Districts serve the wastewater treatment and solid waste management needs of about 5.3 million people in Los Angeles County.
