  1. FIRST – swallow hard and make an informed change (aka, find opportunities that seem viable and do serious research; ask people you contact about their “opportunity” some tough questions).  Remember, their experience won’t be your experience, no matter what.  Make choices based on what your gut tells you that YOU can do.

  2. SECOND – trust that there ARE people out there who will help you and who care.  Design your research (#1 above) to identify an opportunity that is a good fit for YOU and a mentor who CARES and has the time, the enthusiasm and the tools to help you.

  3. When these conditions are in place – let loose your dreams!  What have you stopped thinking about and wanting because it seemed too far out of reach?  What would you do if you knew you could not fail?  Get in touch with what it will feel like to have your ideal life.

  4. Understand that dreaming big doesn’t mean being greedy!  You can’t live in a vacuum, and that means you have to CARE about helping others achieve their dreams.  Otherwise, you are just a “salesperson” in it only for yourself.  Unless you are naturally one of those pushy types (and you’re probably already successfully in sales if you are) you CANNOT succeed in anything unless you care about others and their unique needs.
