This Week’s TV: Another Glenn Close encounter in Damages

Legal eagle Patty Hewes is back for a third series of Damages and Hollywood star Glenn Close tells TV Choice what’s in store for her ruthless character.

Feb. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- ‘Patty has been affected by the journey that we’ve seen her go on,’ says Glenn.
After divorcing her cheating husband and triumphing over a corrupt energy company last time out, litigator Patty is now a court-appointed trustee representing victims of a Bernie Madoff-style swindle. And this being Damages, the opening show ends with a familiar face being found dead in shocking circumstances…

We also have the latest on relationships comedy-drama Married Single Other, which stars Lucy Davis, Ralf Little, Dean Lennox Kelly and Miranda Raison, and is being touted as the new Cold Feet.

Survivors star Julie Graham dons a uniform to play Commander Lisa Kennedy in The Bill, while famous faces recreate dazzling dance routines in Let’s Dance For Sport Relief. James Cameron’s Hollywood blockbuster Avatar could win big at the BAFTA’s, while Death Wish director and food critic Michael Winner explains why he is sampling home cooked meals in Michael Winner's Dining Stars.

Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Waring, who plays Cindy Hutchinson, reveals why the show’s latest plot has been so hard on her personally, while Anna Maxwell Martin and Brian Cox star in a powerful drama about the MPs’ expenses scandal in Bringing Down the House.

In the soaps, Ian Beale tires to split up Leon and Lucy, while the police suspect Gail over Joe’s death in Coronation Street. Cain and Jai plot a lorry heist in Emmerdale, and in Hollyoaks Cindy and Tony are shocked by Holly’s disappearance. Toy boy Matthew stuns Zara with a proposal in Doctors. Steph and Dan share a drunken kiss in Neighbours, while Aden and Nicole’s relationship could be on the rocks in Home And Away.

There’s also a chance to escape the drab winter weather in this week’s competition with one of two fantastic week-long breaks to the Algarve’s sandy beaches in Portugal.
