Samsung S5620 Monte Review - Jam packed with applications

The mobile phone has superbly attractive design. There is a subtle ruggedness in the design that provides a better grip and avoids the chances of accidental slipping out of the hand. There is a resemblance of the S Series phones such as Samsung S 3650 Corby or Samsung S 5560. On the top side of the phone, the microUSB port and the 3.5 mm headphone jack is placed. Almost the entire frontal part of the phone is covered by the 3 inches TFT capacitive touch screen hat provides the resolution of 240 x 400 pixels and 256,000 colours. Other features of the display include accelerometer sensor for auto rotate, smart unlock, and TouchWiz UI 2.0 plus. The touch screen display is highly sensitive so that even a slightest touch can work effectively.

The interface featured in the Samsung S5620 Monte is the improved version of the TouchWiz interface. However, there is nothing much of a great difference from the earlier edition. There are three separate pages on the home screen, where newly and improved widgets can be placed.

The device is supportive of the 2G GSM network (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G HSDPA (900/ 2100). It measures 108.8 x 53.7 x 12.4 mm and weighs 92 grams. Internal memory is provided at 227 MB and there is microSD card slot for enhancing the memory up to 16 GB. In terms of connectivity, Monte provides Class 10 GPRS and EDGE, HSDPA at 3.6 Mbps, Wi Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth.

Entertainment features of the Samsung S5620 Monte are also quite decent. It brings in social networking integration with live updates, music player (MP3, eAAC+, WMA), MP4 player, downloadable games, and a 3.15 mega pixel camera.
