PRLog -- Quang Ton is a director at large for the Project Management Institute (PMI) – Houston Chapter, Inc., the world’s leading not-for-profit membership association for the project management profession, with more than half a million members and credential holders in 185 countries. He has been serving in this capacity since January 2009, and he is responsible for the marketing and communications for PMI on a global scale. He brings with him prior experience as a vice president of communications for another industry leader. Quang earned his master’s degree in computer engineering from a graduate institution in Paris, France. He keeps up-to-date with industry trends by staying active with such industry affiliations as ISACA and PM Forum and by reading e-journals including PM World Today. In addition to an accomplished work life, Quang remains active in the Houston area by volunteering for the Leukemia Society and similar philanthropic organizations. In his free time he enjoys martial arts, traveling extensively, and spending time with family and friends. In the near future, Quang hopes to increase the awareness of PMI in both North and South America.
