Thoughts and facts (learn more about Andrew) in our Q&A with Andrew Wallace:

Wakeology: Why Wakeboarding?
Andrew Wallace:  My family had a boat and was on the water a lot since I was born, so I guess I just kind of ended up on a board and decided I liked it.

Wakeology:  Favorite moments in your Wake career?
Andrew Wallace:  um getting sponsored by my shop Idaho Watersports was huge and my first seven was pretty big step for me as well.

Wakeology:  Why did you choose Wakeology over other board companies?
Andrew Wallace:  The opportunity to be involved with a company that involves the riders in pushing their product and the sport to the next level.

Wakeology:  How long have you been riding?
Andrew Wallace:  11 yearsish

Wakeology:  Where are you from/Where do you live?
Andrew Wallace: from a tiny town in Idaho called Aberdeen, I live in Vegas now.

Wakeology:  Who are some of your biggest influences?
Andrew Wallace:  Definitely my pops and my friend Jeremy have really helped me work on rails and obstacles lately.

Wakeology:  Who are your main riding buddies?
Andrew Wallace:  D-Dub, Jordan, Jeremy, and Nian

Wakeology:  When did you officially sign with Wakeology?
Andrew Wallace:  Dec 2009

WAKEOLOGY:  How old are you and where are you from?
ANDREW WALLACE:  21 from Aberdeen Idaho

WAKEOLOGY:  What's your height and weight?
ANDREW WALLACE:  I'm 5'8" and 150 pounds.

WAKEOLOGY:  How long have you been wakeboarding?
ANDREW WALLACE:  Riding 11ish years.

WAKEOLOGY:  What else do you do for fun?
ANDREW WALLACE:  Riding MX, snowboarding, riding BMX, or pretty much anything fun

WAKEOLOGY:  What other sport helps the most with your wakeboarding?
ANDREW WALLACE:  I dunno really anything active helps but snowboarding is prolly the most direct.

WAKEOLOGY:  Name the top three spots you've ever wakeboarded.
ANDREW WALLACE:  Acapulco Mexico, Mary’s mine ID, and the American falls reservoir back home.

WAKEOLOGY: What's the coolest invention in wakeboarding?
ANDREW WALLACE:  Winches hands down!

WAKEOLOGY:  What bindings and boat do you use?
ANDREW WALLACE:  Wakeology bindings, and my wakesetter vlx.

WAKEOLOGY:  How fast do you ride and how long is your line?
ANDREW WALLACE:  I ride 85ft and about 25 miles per hour.

WAKEOLOGY:  What's your take on the current state of wakeboarding comps?
ANDREW WALLACE:  The IWA comps are sorta scattered and often don’t have proper judging for the upper classes. I will let you know about other comps after this summer

WAKEOLOGY:  What do you think about the progression of the sport as a whole? What would you like to see change?
ANDREW WALLACE:  I love all of the new progression of wakeboarding with wrapped grabbed double up spins. I’m not a huge fan of tucking grabs; I think it doesn’t fit wake style.

WAKEOLOGY:  What new tricks are you working on right now?
ANDREW WALLACE:  Since it’s the off season not too much just having fun mostly, but if I land something new then I will be working on that.

WAKEOLOGY: What are your goals for your wakeboarding career? How would you like to be remembered?
ANDREW WALLACE:  I would really like to have a stand out video part. Mostly I just want to keep having fun.

WAKEOLOGY: What are your plans for 2010?
ANDREW WALLACE: I’m really hoping to get to nationals and make a dent in the scene there

WAKEOLOGY: Where do you usually ride?
ANDREW WALLACE: Lake Mead lately since I have been in Vegas but before it was pretty much always the American Falls Reservoir

WAKEOLOGY: Which riders do you look up to?
ANDREW WALLACE: I dunno, for sure Gerry Nunn would probably be the first to come to mind, he has been helping the sport for so long and just a really good dude.

WAKEOLOGY: Whom would you like to thank?
ANDREW WALLACE: Definitely huge thanks to my pops for being out on the water with me every day since forever and just my family in general. Also all my sponsors: Wakeology, Xbalm, Idaho Watersports, Rockwell, and Spy
