Shimmy 2B Free Belly Dance Event – Fundraiser for Network of Strength

Feb. 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Enjoy 4 days of belly dance fun for a great cause!  These events are open to dancers and non dancers.  There is something for everyone with this family friendly event.

Thursday - June 10th
Henna Party – Open to All
Time: 5pm – 9pm
Admission is Free – Cost of Henna depends on design
Location: Under the Umbrella Café & Bakery at 3504 East 12th Ave
Come out and get decorated for the weekend.  Henna looks its best 2-3 days after application – so join us and get some décor for the festivities.

Friday – June 11th
Une Soiree de la Danse – A Workshop Participant Show
Time: 6pm-930pm (after show open dance to CDs)
Location: Mercury Café at 2199 California Street
Admission: $5 Suggested Donation at the Door
Enjoy belly dancing with many of the workshop participants.

Saturday - June 12th
Spectacular Showcase
Time: Show at 7pm with Open Dancing to Live Music after Show (Doors at 615pm)
Location: Sherman Street Event Center at 1770 Sherman Street in the Viggio Theater
Admission: Tickets are $14 in advance and $16 day of the Show

Join Shimmy 2B Free for a night of professional performances featuring our guest instructor Princess Farhana.  Various performers will light the stage with a spectacular show and variety of styles.  This is a family friendly, all ages show!
After the show, enjoy open dancing to live music by Kara Nomadica (www.karanomadica.com).
Along with a great show and live music, we will have vendors, open bar, snacks and raffle.

10am-12pm: 9/8 To Jump or Not To Jump with Selayma Anan (all levels of experience)
1-3pm: Exploring Taqsim – Soft, Slow & Slinky with Princess Farhana (basic belly dance experience suggested)
Sunday
10am-12pm: Cabaret or Tribal Fusion? Sharp to Slinky Combos with Phoenix (all levels of experience)
1-3pm: Rockin’ Raqs Sharqi Combinations Hollywood Style with Princess Farhana (all levels of experience)
