Internet Radio Station to Launch Arizona Urban Mixtape Project 'From the Ashes' in 2010

Feb. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- The mixtape, 'From the Ashes: Vol. I,' is guaranteed to serve the most blazing tracks ever heard from Arizona artists. Currently, its details are classified due to the limited information available. When asked what genre of music the mixtape will contain, DJ Hipnotik of Hood Access Radio Show and Executive Producer of the mixtape said, "This project has been in the works for several years. We are limiting information because we want to ensure its uniqueness. The business model crafted to support the mixtape project will involve marketing concepts that haven't been attempted by other mixtape producers." She's referring to the use of standard marketing practices, where mixtapes are promoted and advertised on related Internet websites. "We will still use those marketing methods, but we will also use new ones to promote and advertise the mixtape."  

DJ Hipnotik eagerly added, "Arizona artists talk about the lack of support they receive in Arizona. Perhaps this mixtape will ignite a change in thinking and generate support for the artists by creating a better distribution channel, with global media support."

Apparently, Wutz Hood is the only Phoenix radio station to host a local mixtape. Arizona mixtapes are typically hosted by artists, producers, or radio station ‘DJs,’ but not directly by a radio station. The anticipation of this project is great, and is a long time coming. Arizona artists already had their share of disappointed album sales. They hope this mixtape will shine a much needed light on their music projects. "Make no mistake. Producing the project is only half the work. Everyone involved in this project will need to commit 100%, to making this the most successful mixtape ever produced," DJ Hipnotik exclaimed. "The artists will be able to reach new markets that were once unobtainable."

DJ Hipnotik did reveal there will be a call for submissions this Spring. A website will be created to provide the artists with submission guidelines and details.
